We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how it is used, and your rights regarding that data. By using our application, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
When you create an account, we collect your phone number (required), full name (optional), and email address (optional). When you use the app, we also collect usage data such as your listening history, reading progress, downloaded content, saved favorites, and bookmarks. We collect technical information such as your device type, operating system version, app version, and general usage patterns to help us improve the service. Passwords are stored as secure cryptographic hashes and are never readable by anyone, including our team.
We use the information we collect to create and manage your account, authenticate your identity when you log in, save your listening and reading progress across sessions, maintain your favorites and bookmarks, deliver in-app notifications and announcements, detect and prevent abuse or unauthorized access, and generate anonymous usage statistics to improve the app. We do not use your personal data for advertising purposes, and we do not sell it to third parties under any circumstances.
Our app provides access to Islamic books, audio lectures, and other educational materials. When you download content for offline access, files are stored locally on your device. Downloaded files remain on your device until you delete them manually or uninstall the app. We do not track what content you have stored on your device after download.
Audio, video, and document files are hosted securely using Cloudflare R2 object storage. Cloudflare processes files on our behalf under a data processing agreement and is not permitted to use your data for its own purposes. Files are served over encrypted HTTPS connections.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes. We may share your data only in the following limited circumstances: with Cloudflare R2 for secure file storage and delivery under a data processing agreement; with our hosting and infrastructure providers who are bound by confidentiality obligations; and when required by applicable law, court order, or government authority, in which case we will notify you unless prohibited from doing so by law.
Your personal data is retained for as long as your account remains active. After you request account deletion, your personal data, including your phone number, email address, full name, listening history, favorites, and bookmarks, is permanently and irreversibly deleted within 30 days. Anonymous usage logs may be retained for up to 90 days for security and abuse detection purposes. Legal and audit logs may be retained for up to 1 year to comply with applicable laws.
You have the right to delete your account at any time. To do so, visit the Account Deletion page in the app or go to /delete-account on our website. You will be asked to confirm your password before deletion. Once your account is deleted, your data cannot be recovered. If you change your mind, you will need to register a new account.
We take the security of your data seriously. All data in transit between your device and our servers is encrypted using HTTPS and TLS. Passwords are hashed using PBKDF2-SHA256 with a unique salt per user. Authentication tokens expire after 60 minutes and are immediately blacklisted when you log out. We regularly review our security practices to protect your information.
Our app is designed for general Muslim audiences and is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent. If you believe we have inadvertently collected data from a child under 13, please contact us immediately, and we will promptly delete the information.
You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you. You have the right to correct inaccurate information in your profile at any time through the app settings. You have the right to delete your account and all associated personal data. You have the right to ask us what data we hold about you and how it is used. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the information provided at the bottom of this policy.
Our mobile app does not use cookies. Our web interface may use session tokens stored in your browser to keep you logged in. We do not use third-party tracking scripts, analytics pixels, or advertising trackers.
Our app may contain links to external websites or resources. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those third-party sites. We encourage you to read the privacy policy of any website you visit.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal reasons. When we make significant changes, we will notify you through an in-app announcement. The date at the top of this page reflects when the policy was last updated. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
